What is this website about?

We provide a “seal” that you can display on your website or product, confirming that Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) has not directly and consciously been used in what you offer. And that you have taken extra effort to try and avoid inadvertent use of such things in your product or service.

What’s the point of that? Are you against AI?

We are not against A.I. per se, but are against indiscriminate usage of the current versions of it.

Specifically, most of what is termed “AI” today is a form of Artificial Intelligence called “Generative AI”. That is commonly encountered with chat bots or image generators or the like. Such services are like extremely advanced versions of “monkey see, monkey do”. Namely, they are trained by massive amounts of data, and then try to mimic what seems to make sense based on that data. That style of A.I. has little to no relation to the word “intelligence”.

It is our belief that a properly developed actual A.I., often referred to as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), or beyond that, may have a place in human life and as a potential assistance for life on this planet, but that it needs to be approached with a level head. Generative AI may have a place, but it would probably be more as a minor accessory to actual A.I.

(We are all for progress and innovation, and value greatly all efforts on such fronts. But for example, if GenAI tries to train GenAI, while it may succeed for a while, if left in a closed loop for an extended period, the end result will largely be pure gibberish- figuratively speaking, a “big smelly fart”. As with many things, there is an ideal approach, and a flawed approach. We believe that for some reason society has chosen the flawed version for a purpose of immediate gain.)

We also take seriously what the Bible asserts: that humans were created in the Image of God (Genesis 1:27). And that while technology may or may not have a place in life, the human element is and should be the primary focus. Otherwise, inevitably the end result will either be destruction, or technology taking care of what are essentially dead bodies.

Why the strange sounding domain name?

The domain name was chosen to help illustrate a point. It was felt that while a term such as “No AI Is” would be viewed as bad grammar by an average A.I. bot of today, a human being can understand its possible sense in the context of the message of such a project.

Is the seal you offer free of charge?

At this time, yes. All we ask is that the seals not be modified in any way.

How do I add the seal to my website or product?

For a website, you may choose any of the styles found here, and simply add the code to your site. For a product, you may download the chosen image.

How can I support this project?

Just spread the word, or add the seal to your website.

I clicked on your seal on a third-party website, and it took me here. Does that seal guarantee that no AI has been used in a website or product?

At this time, no- it does not guarantee anything at all. It is a seal offered free of charge for anyone to use, to assure their website visitors or their customers that their service or product does not directly and consciously use AI. It would be up to the consumer whether to believe the provider of the service or product.

Is this project affiliated with a religious movement?

Not directly. But we do believe in Scripture as the inerrant Word of God, and urge a visitor to take a second look at religion.

What is a .is domain? I’ve never seen it before.
